Trust, Verification & Editorial Standards

FindMyHomestay publishes homestay listings and travel content to help travellers make informed choices. This page explains what the platform’s visible listing and content signals mean.

Listing review and verification

Listings are reviewed before publication. Hosts can submit verification documents for moderator review. A visible “Verified” badge indicates that the listing is marked verified in FindMyHomestay’s records; it is not a guarantee of availability, pricing, amenities, or a particular traveller experience.

Information shown on listings

Listing pages may show details supplied by hosts, including location, amenities, prices, contact options, and house rules. Travellers should confirm current availability, total price, cancellation terms, and any trip-specific requirements with the host before making arrangements.

Reviews

Traveller reviews are displayed only after approval. Review scores and comments represent the reviewer’s experience and do not replace a traveller’s own assessment of a stay.

Editorial standards

Destination guides and blog posts identify their author and publication date when available. We aim to distinguish first-hand guidance from general destination information, and we will add source citations and reviewer details as those editorial records are prepared.

Corrections

If you believe a public listing or guide contains inaccurate information, contact us through the contact page with the page URL and supporting details. We review correction requests and update or remove information when appropriate.
